AV and the Electoral Reform Society

We completely agree with the original ERS policy on the Alternative Vote, which will be unsatisfactory for Parliamentary elections in the UK. Had the ERS stuck to its policy and told both Labour and the Liberal Democrats it could not support the introduction of AV, we may not be having a referendum on AV now but introducing STV for local elections instead, our Plan A. Then there would be no need for a site like ours. Sadly, the members of the ERS thought otherwise. So the campaign for electoral reform must continue without their leadership.
